Orvis Western 3 Tip-Flex 967-3 9’6” #7 3pc Graphite Fly Rod & Tube

Discontinued Orvis Western³ Tip-Flex 967-3 graphite fly-fishing rod, measuring 9ft 6in and rated for a #7 fly line.

The Western³ range was developed primarily for stillwater and reservoir fishing. This #7 version offers the power required for larger flies, sinking-line combinations and fishing in blustery conditions, while retaining a responsive tip-to-middle action.

The rod belonged to my late father-in-law and its precise amount of previous use is unknown.

All three sections are present and it is supplied with the original brown Orvis Western³ zipped protective tube shown in the photographs. No separate cloth rod bag is included.

The blank, guides and bindings appear intact, with no obvious fractures, missing guides or previous repairs visible. The cork handle shows noticeable age-related wear, pitting and some loss of filler. There are also cosmetic marks from normal use and storage on the reel fitting and protective tube.

I have not personally cast-tested the rod. Please inspect all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description. Additional close-up photographs can be provided if required.

The rod will be securely protected for delivery.
